I was cleaning out my HD and stumbled across some original fiction pieces from high school. Not my work, but other students’. I was a judge for an original fiction writing contest for one of the 10th grade English classes because I won the same contest when I was a sophomore.

In any case, I scanned some of them and I guess I must have been having a terrible day or something because I was completely vicious when it came to snarky commentary. (I probably was having a terrible day; from what I could remember junior year of high school was insanely stressful.) THERE’S SO MUCH RED ON THE PAPER THAT IT PUTS A QUENtIN TARANTINO MOVIE TO SHAME.

I’m not a complete bitch– the copies of these stories were never returned to their owners. But man, I love how for one of the pieces I wrote “DEAR WRITER, YOU ARE NOT DANIELLE STEEl. PLEASE STOP IT WITH THE PURPLE PROSE.”
