being vague about grades

January 6, 2010

Bryn Mawr’s honor code about grades is so vague that I always feel a bit uneasy when discussing them. (When I talk to friends from other schools, I always have to remind myself that it’s normal to talk about them.)

In any case– here’s to being vague!– this was the hardest semester of Chinese yet and I did very well. I’m incredibly relieved because parts of the final exam nearly made me cry (fill in the blank complements and I are never going to be friends) but I’m pleased with myself. :)

Now to make sure I don’t forget everything I’ve learned– I’m going to review. At Borders. With a mocha.

(I’m having serious second thoughts about my new year’s resolution to become less caffeine dependent. I mean, really.)
