media to do list

November 29, 2009
  1. Watch Princess Mononoke, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Ponyo. Preferably with friends because you don’t want to break a tradition!
  2. Read Neil Gaiman’s works. (I know, for shame. I read half of Good Omens and I remembered liking it.)
  3. Watch Heroes and see what all the fuss is about. And also because Masi Oka is adorable.
  4. Watch Criminal Minds because it looks interesting and Shemar Moore and Matthew Gray Grubler are insanely attractive. (Andrea knows how to sell a TV series to me.)
  5. Watch Bones because you need to pass Anthro101 since it’s your major.
  6. Shaun of the Dead. It’s been sitting on your hard drive for ages. Who doesn’t love a hilarious zombie movie?
  7. Re-read Journey to the West and the Analects of Confucius and that huge-ass Chinese philosophy book you bought last year. I consider this fun. I know, I’m such a nerd.
  8. Watch My Lucky Star with Andrea. Because the pilot episode seems promising and you always need a new Asian drama to try. (Also, it’s a twdrama with Taiwanese subs! Practice for Chinese!)
  9. Finish Merlin.
  10. Add holiday music to your iPod, ASAP.
  11. Find someone to see The Princess and the Frog with.
  12. Stephen Chow movies. They’ll help with Canto.
  13. Nodame Cantabile! Van made me a DVD and everything.
  14. The West Wing. This is taken for granted, of course.  I love all the characters. I want to grow up to be CJ Cregg, I want to marry a Sam or a Charlie, and I want President Barlett to tell me random stories. I also want to have lunch with Ainsley Hayes.
  15. Chill out or do homework, but listen to the Spirited Away soundtrack again. It’s been a while, but while I was watching the movie I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful everything was. Props to Joe Hisaishi.
  16. One of these days– catch up with/actually finish [manga/anime]: Bleach, Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, Death Note, Nana, Bishoujo Sailor Moon (anime), etc.
  17. And re-read/re-watch [manga/anime]: His and Her Circumstances/Kare Kano, Paradise Kiss, and Beck.
