tri-co: day three (or why i’m an embarrassment to society)
Okay, everyone and their grandmother knows that I lost my cell, right?
(This took place today right after lunch, when almost everyone had arrived back at Dalton 300–where most of the workshops take place.)
Student Resource Persons: *making general announcements* Also, someone lost an LG Chocolate phone, so if anyone finds one please contact one of us.
Random Girl: What color?
Me: BLACK!
—JUST WHEN THE AFRICAN-CARIBBEAN GROUP* WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR, EVERYONE OF COURSE TURNS TO STARE AT ME.
Me: …!!! THE PHONE! I-IT’S BLACK!
Andrea:*laughing hysterically and generally being COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL*
Me: *wanting to find a hole to crawl into AND DIE*
*The kicker is that we had all be separated into different groups based on how we identify ourselves, race-wise, so each of our groups could present a story/skit. Today was RACE AND HERITAGE day.
Guys, MY LIFE.
