day one of tri-co: arrival

Hanging out with future roommate Andrea in Erdman common room.
Andrea and my family had Thai/Japanese lunch together. No room for actual dinner when we returned. But we met Friendly Swarthmore Boy! Also, small world. Friendly Swarthmore Boy went to the same school where my former principal (he got tenure this year) Joe Wilson … er, was, right before he went to my school. Yeah, small small world.
We played ice breaker games and had the beejesus scared out of us by the Student Resource Persons (SRPs) by their fake rules. (“We’re confiscating your cell phones!” Andrea and I had identical expressions of “HOSHIT OUR PARENTS ARE GOING TO KILL US”.)
Anyway, am fine. Am pretty happy.
